In 1998, four years after the abolition of apartheid, the backlog situation in black schools in rural areas was obvious. The teachers wanted to be able to do more but lacked sufficient teaching materials and also knowledge. Hence their request for help.

The YEBO Foundation formulated two goals: Supporting through teaching materials and further training of teachers. With a clear policy line... joint responsibility and, where possible, transferring the completed project to the 'owner' in not too long a time.

The projects can be financed thanks to contributions from private sponsors, various schools (primary, middle, and secondary), and organizations such as De Wilde Gansen, Aqua for All, etc. For this, we are very grateful to them!
