Financing the construction of libraries

A big wish of two primary schools is a library; to be able to read calmly with children from books – which do exist – but which, due to lack of space, lie in high stacks in the corners of classrooms. YEBO helps in various ways. Together with the children of Mbongokuhle, they calculate how many bricks are needed for 4 walls up to the height of their teacher Magdaline Modise! And how much sand and cement will you need to make those bricks? Yebo can finance that. In the meantime, the school searches for resources to complete the building. Within a year, there will be a furnished, brightly painted, and intensively used building!

For Zithulele Primary School, interns Janneke and Maaike (Fontys University of Applied Sciences Tilburg) succeeded in building a library, among other things, with the help of primary schools in Brabant. They paint the interior with butterflies and flowers, and the festive opening is an event!

In 2026, the building will need renovation. The termites have damaged the beams and the cabinets. Unfortunately, that is a difficult and costly undertaking.
