The 'auditorium' of the high school (1,275 students) consists of a covered area between two buildings with a sand floor. The space is used intensively, and a stone floor had long been a cherished wish. Two staff members of the Almende College in Silvolde, on the occasion of their retirement, asked for money instead of gifts to realize the stone floor. With financial support from De Wilde Ganzen, this was achieved. We were closely involved in the negotiations between the school management and the contractor. The contract was signed, the floor was laid properly, is still intact, and the space is still used intensively.
