The scholarship fund provides interest-free loans to students of Lugebhuta High School in Schoemansdal. These students are talented but less financially able. The scholarship fund enables them to start further education at a university or college. Yebo selects the candidates in consultation with the school's management.

Students enter into a contract with the YEBO foundation under the following conditions:

• The parents do not have money to pay for further education
  The student must be well motivated and able to work independently
  The student must follow a course that offers good prospects on the labor market after obtaining the diploma
  The student must repay a part of the borrowed study money to the fund
