This past December I have been searching for anInternship opportunity as part of my fourth year of Biotechnology studies. I found one, and it has been a significant transition for me. I am still adjusting to certain aspects of this new role. However, everything is gradually falling into place, and I am grateful for this opportunity.
The year 2025 was a period of personal growth, learning, and self-reflection for me. It was a time marked by both challenges and meaningful progress. One of the greatest difficulties I faced was managing academic pressure alongside important personal decisions about my future. Balancing deadlines, expectations, and uncertainty often felt overwhelming, but it taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of seeking support. A particularly challenging period occurred in September, when I was suffering from emotional and personal strain. I requested permission from YEBO for an in between ticket to go home to my family. I remain deeply grateful for the compassion and support I received, especially from Remke at YEBO.
Despite these challenges, 2025 also brought moments of happiness and success. Making academic progress and achieving five distinctions across eight modules gave me a great sense of fulfilment and motivation. I am sincerely thankful to YEBO for the guidance, understanding, and continued support. Looking ahead to 2026, I look forward to a year of clarity, growth, and renewed focus, during which I will apply the lessons I have learned and continue to develop both personally and professionally.
